Hello Dear family and friends. We are so thrilled that spring is finally on its way here in Iwate, Japan. We have had a long cold winter and finally it is starting to warm up. We are enjoying watching the world come alive around us and it is so amazing to watch Violet experience this for the first time. I so want to see things through her eyes. You know that feeling when you see something for the first time. Your heart races as you try to take it all in. How amazing to experience that every day. She makes us appreciate even the littlest of things in such a miraculous way. Today I watched her eyes glitter and gleam with delight as she touched a green branch for the first time. I found myself reaching out to touch it too. What a miracle God has created! What a miracle that He has granted us another day together as a family in this beautiful world that He created. Happy Spring to you all.

Oh Happy Day
He is risen, Alleluia! Alleluia!
We had a very blessed and joyful Easter Sunday. We are so thankful that we were able to worship with our family here in Tono, the Yoshidas. Reverend Yoshida our dear お父ちゃん and Violet's じじ baptized sweet Violet and we started a new life together in Christ. What a beautiful Easter it was.
Here are some pics from Violet's first Easter.

March Fun
Hello dear friends and family. We have had a wonderful month and Violet is growing so quickly! We can't believe she is already 5 and a 1/2 months old! She is such a wonderful baby. Full of loving smiles and she is now laughing with a haha instead of a squeal. Although she still loves to squeal too. She has a new favorite pastime....sucking on her toes. :) She very rarely has bare feet so when she does she puts them straight in her mouth. She has also started napping in her own bed. She still sleeps with us at night in our bed but she is gradually getting used to sleeping by herself. It makes me so pleased to see her developing her independence but sad at the same time that she doesn't need me as much as she used to. Today she even stayed in her crib after waking with out crying. She is sleeping longer at night too.
Well here are some pics from this month. We love you all!

Baby Wearing
I love to wear Violet in a sling. I feel so close to her and I know she loves it too. She becomes so relaxed. She can feel my heartbeat and I hers. She can feel each breath I take and I can feel hers. She can smell the scent of me and the milk God has graciously granted me to nourish her with. And I can smell the top of her precious head. Motherhood is an amazing thing.
I also love to see men wearing babies too. Especially when it's our baby and her daddy (my two loves)!

Hinamatsuri
Violet's first Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival or Girls Day)
We had a fun visit with our friends Alli and Dan last weekend. They gave Violet the garland behind us in the picture for Violet's first Hinamatsuri. Thanks Alli and Dan!
