Happy New Year!
Hello Friends and Family!
Welcome to our "blog" (web log). When you visit this website you can see what we have been up to and catch a few glimpses of our life in Sumita (town), Iwate (state), Japan. **
It's about 5:30PM on New Year's Eve in Japan now and we are hoping to ring in the new year online with a few of you this evening. Stephanie has prepared 7-layer dip (Texas-style) and we plan on sipping some champagne around midnight (that's 10:00AM in SC and 9:00AM in TX--both on Saturday morning---so, please ring us on skype if you like).
We would watch the ball drop in New York LIVE online tommorow morning but this year we will be at church because tommorow is a Sunday for us. We are so sorry that we won't ring in the new year with y'all (last year we watched the ball drop as we talked to Jesse in Shanghai, China and Mom Craft in Michighan....pretty cool). But, this year Reverand Yoshida (our church's pastor) and his wife are planning to prepare a special Japanese lunch of sukiyaki (pronounced "soo-key-yah-key") which will be kind of a celebration of the New Year and our 2nd year of marriage. We will post pics of that later, so stay tuned!
**By the way,... we selected that this blog be made private (only for those that we give the link of our address). So, if you want see what we are up to from time to time, you may want to save this website on your list of favorites because it won't show up on a search engine.
