Ikebana

Hi Friends and Family! A couple of weekends ago I was able to go to an Ikebana (flower arrangement) festival in a nearby town. It was really amazing. One of the best parts was being able to see some old friends and neighbors from Sumita (our old hometown). I went to the festival with my friend Teresa. She is also an ALT here in Japan. We enjoyed some "girl time" and really enjoyed visiting. Here are a few pictures from the festival. If you would like to see more please click on this album.

Video: Sumita 3-Year Festival

Yesterday we "went back home" to Sumita for a very special festival that is held once every three years. Gabe and I lived in Sumita for three years and often miss the wonderful friends and neighbors in that beautiful little town. We were so happy to see so many of them. I made this video from the videos and pictures we took:

Video: Daichi's B-Day

Our good friends the Ozawa family invited us to celebrate their son's (Daichi) birthday. They are always so kind to us and we just thank our Lord for their friendship... I made this little video and uploaded it to Google Video. (To watch, press the play button in the lower left corner)

Thank you Ozawa family! We love you! Gabe & Steph

English Circle Christmas Party

Hello all,
Just thought we'd share some videos from one of our Christmas parties. This is an annual pot-luck get-together for our Sumita English Conversation Circle. In the videos you can see many of our friends from Sumita (the town we used to live in) and some friends that live here in Ofunato. These were taken on December 18th.
